Where there are knives there are sheaths so here is John's work

A little background

Son of Dan Dennehy 2007 Cutlery Hall of Fame inductee, so I have been around knives and leather sheaths all of my life. Went to work in Dan's shop in 1989 and with my extensive background in leather work made sheaths and learned to make knives.

1990 Greg Walker - Editor of Fighting Knives Magazine did a full article on my sheathwork. Since then I have had work in numerous knife, gun and leather magazines and some of the "Book of Knives" issues.

I have taught sheath making at knife shows including the Blade show and the Denver show.

I am not doing much knife making these days due to the demand for the leather work. Sheaths are not the only items I produce. See my website for more information. www.thewildirishrose.com
